CARMAN MOORE CONDUCTING 4 BLACK IMMORTALS

Carman Moore will be conducting the late great ERNIE WILKINS' 4 BLACK IMMORTALS, a work of four movements dedicated to Paul Robeson, Jackie Robinson, Malcolm X, and Martin Luther King Jr.  4 BLACK IMMORTALS is a major jazz-inspired 20th Century composition scored for string orchestra, choir, and jazz band.

GRANDMA SAGE AND HER MAGIC MUSIC ROOM

Carman’s history of Jazz for children, created with Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist Janet Lawson. With its cast of jazz stars battling a greedy villain GRANDMA SAGE will soon appear as an animated film by famed producer Eleana Tee Cobb.

Violinist DAISY JOPLING, Skymusic Ensemble member and solo virtuoso. Carman has written an intense, highly-melodic, new hip-hop influenced work for her new band called HEALING WITHIN. The piece invites Daisy to not only play passionately but also to rap a poem that is close to her heart.
